World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of items is a crucial element of enhancing your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and the ability to enchant.
They also offer bonus effects and improvements. They are available by contacting the Blacksmith.
The upgrade button is available on any item. Every recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapon
If a weapon is upgraded, it will gain an initial damage bonus as well as an adjustment factor that affects other stats. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects and others provide additional benefits. These upgrades can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade slot available and meet certain specifications. Once a weapon or armor piece features an upgrade component within it, the item can be replaced with another however the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a high-end salvage tool on the item it self.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that boosts certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier the process can be repeated up to four times.
Once item upgrade has reached its maximum level of improvement, it can then be reforged to add different bonuses and effects, or to improve specific stats. Many of these upgrades can be applied at once, and the effects vary depending on the rarity of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones for modifying the kind of damage a weapon can cause.
In general, it is recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armour defense, then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not unusual to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon prior to upgrading other equipment. This helps maximize DPS. This is especially relevant to enchantments that can be extremely efficient in increasing the damage of a weapon and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades let players enhance the effectiveness of certain armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also have additional effects like increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades are available by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, or in loot drops or as rewards for quests.
The quality of armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. In the majority of cases an item of armor will be upgraded to the next tier once an upgrade is applied. This is possible for all types of armor, though certain types of armor cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).
Most armor upgrades offer a small increase to an item's base defense or strength. Certain upgrades, however, can lead to significant increases in defense or strength. This is particularly relevant when upgrading epic items.
In addition to increasing the defense of an item, certain upgrades also give specific abilities that can be activated while wearing an armor. These abilities can be very useful in combat. For instance they can increase attack speed or block. Certain upgrades also offer passive effects, such as reducing the amount of damage that is taken while wearing armor or adding a chance to dodge attacks.
Based on the type of armor, upgrading an item could require multiple tries. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor that has a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt would result in the creation of a Dragonscale armor that has a base defense of 67-77.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To upgrade their armor players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains that are located in the game. Each of these locations houses an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular belief, armor in The Division 2 is not in any way useless. Certain armors give a substantial increase in the ability to reduce damage from poison, curse, magic, or fire. This makes them very useful for certain builds. Additionally, there are ways to increase the stats of armor beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait to boost armor penetration or the challenger trait that reduces total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in the brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a brand new level of potion effect and can be repeated to get higher levels of potency.
The potion also gains a custom color code which the player can select by using /give. This affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows produced by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color is also applied to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, common and thick potions and difficult potions, now have a new the texture of brewing. The potion of weakness was added to the healing potion to the Creative inventory. The potions are lingering and can be brewed with splash potions or dragon breath and a strong potion with the status effect of Mining Fatigue (duration 4:45). Bug Tracker is the place for you to report issues with this patch.
Trinket
A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It can be a ring or necklace. Or even a small banner that marks the yard of a lateen boat. It can also refer to a gilded trinket on the mast of a vessel.
This bizarre trinket appears to be influencing the inhabitants of this maze, making them more common. This trinket, at its current level makes all types of mimics more common and gives each floor a probability of Y% that it will contain an ebony-colored replica. Upgrades to this trinket will cost a moderate amount energy.
The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to affect the dungeon and increase the likelihood of generating water and grass. This trinket at the moment, will cause X% of the regular floors to be filled with grass or water. It does not affect glyphs, enchantments or cursed weapons or armor or other items that are created to help solve hazards rooms.
While it appears like the normal eye of a newt this mysterious object appears to be affecting your vision in ways beyond simply reducing your field of view. This trinket, at the moment level, increases the health gained by drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and also gives mind sight to enemies within the Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with the Heightened Senses.
After completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by defeating Monsters and inside chests and crates within Skull Cavern. They are not available in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
When you have a trinket which requires upgrading, place it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will cause an unpredictable impact on the trinket either increasing its duration or enhancing its effects. You can reuse the Trinket as often as you like but it will always be able to produce the same effect.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets by placing them in a magical catalyst at the Alchemy Station. This will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the trinkets power by a small amount.
